Buffalo Guard

Two large brown bison stand defiantly blocking a gap between to large rocks.  The land around them is arid with only sandy soil and small scrubby plants.  Above, the afternoon sky is blue and cloudless.

This is the latest image in my "Buffalo of the American West" gallery.  It's actually a bit of an older style for me.  I created this as my first artwork using the new Vue 2015.  I wanted to compare the user experience with what I was used to in Vue 9.5 so I went with a theme and style that I used commonly.

I created this image using CGI and Digital Painting techniques.  To start with I used a tool called Vue 2015 from e-on Software to create the terrain and rocks.  I then used Poser 10 to pose the buffalo models which I then imported into my Vue scene.  I use Vue for the final rendering and GIMP and Topaz Adjust for post production.
