Print-On-Demand: An Easy Way to Sell Art
I've been experimenting with ways to sell my art for several years now. I wouldn't say anything has been wildly successful. I've made some money, but I still won't be quitting my day job anytime soon.
That being said, I have managed to make enough with my art to pay for a few family vacations. By far, the largest component of that success has been my sales of prints through print-on-demand websites.
If your curious to know more about POD websites, I've just posted an article to my blog giving a high level overview of them and links to a few of the top ones. You can check it out here: http://fineartbydaniel.com/2018/03/06/print-on-demand/
The Art of Art Licensing
Having had my art on the web for a number of years now, I get contacted a couple of times a month by someone whose seen it and wants to use my art for their business, e.g. novel covers, product labels, websites, etc. So I've had a bit of experience licensing out my art. Today, I added an article to my new blog that gives an overview of how licensing works.
If you're an artist who's ever been contacted by someone wanting to use your art, or if you are someone in need of art for your project, business, etc., or if you want to find out a bit about how to start licensing your art, you should check it out:

My adventures in getting Photoshop
So I used to use Photoshop a long time ago, but for the past 20 years, I've been using Gimp instead. I've decided to give Photoshop another chance now that Adobe offers a subscription model that makes it WAY more affordable. I recorded a video of me getting it so others can see how it is done as Adobe's subscription model is very different from the old way of buying software off the shelf in a store. Check it out:
