I've been working on a few winterscapes lately. For this one, I wanted the ground to look like it had only a dusting of snow with rocks branches and dead weeds still visible and with the pine trees still dark and snowless. The ram was really just an afterthought to add a focal point for the viewer.
This took one took forever to render, mostly due to the sky and fractal mountains in the background. Render time was about 32 hours on an Intel i3 with 8gb of memory. The ram is the long horn sheep model that comes with poser 2010. Everything else is done in Vue 8.
