Description
An old mossy tree sits in a foggy forest. Polypores grow up one side, and mushrooms sprout from the ground around it. This tree has been here a very long time. With the vague image of a face in it's bark, it has earned the name of "The Old Man".

Ah, he does give shelter, and steps to climb
this old man tree, is quite sublime
with gnarled roots,
and textured skin,
and though he looks
quite different
we know
he's kin,
so we do
take comfort
and delight you see
in this old man of the forest
this wonderful ancient mossy tree.
(Very nice work! (Now, I hope you don't mind my sharing a link on the above subject matter - the fungi - that I believe is very interesting, compelling,

(Very nice work! (Now, I hope you don't mind my sharing a link on the above subject matter - the fungi - that I believe is very interesting, compelling,
spellbinding and could just be exactly what humanity needs in order to help many of our most pressing problems in the world today. It is a film by Louie Swartzberg, under the title of fantasticfungi.com/ Do take a peek when you have a moment, if you will.)
